TO ENTER: Beginning September 18, 2008 at 12:01 PM Eastern Time ("ET") and continuing until September 25, 2008 at 11:59 PM ET or until the prizes listed below are awarded as described herein, whichever comes first the "Contest Period"), visit www.KFC.com and follow the directions provided to enter the three correct hidden words contained in the in-store Original Recipe Strips point-of-purchase advertisements located in most KFC locations nationwide, and in Original Recipe Strips national television advertisements and on www.KFC.com, for a chance to win a $5 KFC® gift check as described below. The first 1200 visitors to www.KFC.com who correctly enter the three hidden words will each receive a KFC® gift check with a total value of $5, provided they meet all eligibility requirements described herein. Original Recipe Strips point-of-purchase advertisements and national television advertisements will also be posted on www.KFC.com.

ELIGIBILITY: You must be at least 18 years old and of the age of majority in your state of residence and a legal resident of the 50 United States or District of Columbia to participate. Employees of Sponsor, the KFC National Council and Advertising Cooperative, Inc. (“NCAC”) and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, members, franchisees, licensees and promotion and advertising agencies (collectively, the “Contest Entities”), and members of their immediate family (spouse, mother, father, sister, brother, ward, daughter, or son and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and persons living in the same household of such employees, whether or not related, are not eligible to win. No entries generated by script, macro or other automatic devices will be permitted. Sponsor reserves the right to verify the identity and eligibility of any person entering or winning a prize in the Contest.

AWARDING OF PRIZES; ODDS: Only the first 1200 eligible people who correctly identify the hidden words, and enter them correctly as instructed on www.KFC.com, will each win a $5 KFC gift check issued by the NCAC. Gift checks returned as undeliverable will be forfeited. Up to, but no more than, 1200 $5 KFC gift checks will be awarded during the Contest Period to those people who correctly identify the three hidden words Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible and correct entries received. Limit one $5 KFC gift check per e-mail address and per household during the Contest Period. If fewer than 1200 eligible and correct entries are received during the Contest Period, Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to extend the Contest Period, or to terminate the Contest without awarding the remaining gift checks.

The $5 KFC gift check will be provided to the winner via U.S. mail within three (3) weeks following the end of the Contest Period. Each KFC gift check is worth $5.00 and is redeemable toward the purchase of KFC® products only at participating KFC® restaurants in the 50 United States and the District of Columbia. It may not be redeemed for cash, transferred or substituted, except where required by law. All applicable taxes are payable by recipient. Certain other terms, conditions and restrictions may apply as specified by NCAC or Sponsor.

All relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply to this Contest. No prize transfers, cash redemption or substitutions permitted except in the event of unavailability of prize(s), in which case Sponsor may, in its own discretion, substitute a prize of equal or greater value. All federal, state and local taxes on prizes, if any, are the sole responsibility of the winner. The Contest is also subject to these Official Rules. If you cannot or will not comply with these Official Rules, you should not enter or participate in the Contest. By entering this Contest, you agree to be bound by these Official Rules and to waive any right to claim any ambiguity or error in these Official Rules or the Contest itself.
