ABOUT THE FOUNDATION
The Kentucky Fried Chicken Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, believes in a world where educational opportunities are available to everyone and where we never give up on helping people achieve their dreams. The Foundation continues to be inspired by Colonel Sanders’ legacy and his belief in the importance of hard work, passion for a job well done and giving back.
Through our REACH Educational Grant Program™, and newly launched REACH HIGH™ — High School Equivalency Program, the Foundation is making a difference for hourly Team Members at KFC restaurants who are willing to work hard and improve themselves through education. Through these programs and the external Colonel's Scholars program, the Foundation has awarded over $12.5 million in scholarships and educational grants to hundreds of deserving students since 2006.

The REACH Educational Grant Program™ helps KFC restaurant hourly Team Members and Shift Supervisors pursue their educational dreams. These $2,000 grants help Team Member recipients attend accredited four-year and two-year colleges, as well as trade/vocational schools. Winners are selected via a competitive application process and may reapply each year.
We're happy to share that 609 hourly Team Members have been selected to receive college tuition assistance from the KFC Foundation for the 2014-15 academic year! Follow us on Facebook or Twitter for more about this year's winners, including stories of how the REACH Program is changing lives.
The Foundation proudly honors Colonel Sanders’ legacy by helping this inspiring, diverse group of students — from the single parent finally completing a degree started 15 years earlier to those who are the first in their families to attend college.

REACH HIGH - High School Equivalency Program
The Foundation’s new REACH HIGH™ - High School Equivalency Program helps hourly Team Members and Shift Supervisors at participating KFC restaurants earn a high school credential by covering their exam preparation and exam costs, as well as by guiding them through the process.
With the rollout of new exams and higher exam fees in 2014, now more than ever, this program is crucial to helping restaurant Team Members achieve their educational goals. By covering 100 percent of test and test prep costs, the Foundation is committed to helping recipients reach the next level. Assistance is available to Team Members in all 50 states for the GED®, HiSet® and TASC™ exams. If you’re a KFC Team Member, click here to get started.
KFC was built on Colonel Harland Sanders’ values—at the top of that list is doing things the hard way. The Right Way.Besides serving the world’s best chicken, the KFC Family also has a long and rich history of generosity and supporting those who are trying to better themselves. And that started with the Colonel himself. Check out our video to see what we mean.
Since 1998, the Kentucky Fried Chicken Foundation, an independent 501(c)3 charity, has helped one of the world’s most recognizable brands give back, thanks to generous support from KFC franchisees and KFC Corporation. If you’d like to support the Foundation’s work, please make a donation via the “Donate Now” button at the top of the page. All gifts are tax-deductible.
OTHER FOUNDATION PROGRAMS
Through the Colonel’s Scholars program, the Foundation awarded $20,000 scholarships to 500 amazing students across the U.S. between 2006 and 2012. As high school students, these recipients demonstrated financial need, an entrepreneurial drive and a commitment to community. Now, as college students and graduates, they continue to impress us with their efforts to give back in their local communities and the world over. Colonel’s Scholars alumni consist of doctors, engineers, lawyers, researchers and others who will continue to make a difference for many years to come! Though the Colonel’s Scholars program has been discontinued to allow the Foundation to focus its educational assistance efforts on hourly Team Members across the country, we remain proud of the impact it made on so many lives.
Through the KFC Feeds® program, the Foundation provides assistance to the victims of large-scale natural disasters by donating hot meals via churches, community centers and “on the ground” disaster relief organizations. Since 2005, over 200,000 meals have been donated to those in need in the aftermaths of some of the nation’s worst natural disasters.
